Va bene–I mean, “all right” – god, I’ve been playing too much Assassin’s Creed II – let’s begin!
I have been without a computer for over a month (if you wondered, I’ve been tweeting from my iPhone) and I just fetched my old laptop (which runs Vista… *sob*) from my mom’s place to my dad’s place where I am now a few days ago which I’ve used to catch up to the twelve shows I hadn’t watched since Fairy Tail the last Monday of October. October! Anyway, I think now is the time to finally start blogging again. I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed you all and just how right it feels to be writing again. Granted, the WordPress dashboard is a little bit dull (not ugly, just… dull) but it still feels right!
Now, what exactly should I write about? Maybe recap the internet-less month I’ve been having before I get on to the juicy news? It’s quite interesting~
Thursday, November 19
I went to my dad’s house earlier this month (I mean November, not December) but this day is when the fun began!
I got dressed in the morning (what a shocker!), took my trusty Death Note messenger bag – oh, how I love that thing – and left for Webhallen (lit. “The Web Hall,” a store in Sweden) to participate in the release of Dragon Age: Origins – the PS3 version, that is – and Assassin’s Creed II. After some minor uninteresting series of complications I got my Collector’s Edition of Dragon Age and the White Edition of Assassin’s Creed II containing a cool Ezio Auditore figure of the larger kind.
The Dragon Age: Origins Collector’s Edition came in a larger than usual metallic game case containing the game, of course; a bonus blu-ray disc with a making-of featurette, the game’s soundtrack, and more; a thick game manual; a few pieces of paper with some redeem codes for some Collector’s Edition exclusive items and the first downloadable content (DLC) “The Stone Prisoner,” containg the playable, pigeon-hating golem Shale; and an actual map of Ferelden, the country in which the game takes place.
Friday, November 20
The day after I came home with Assassin’s Creed II and Dragon Age: Origins it was immediately back to Webhallen for the next game: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Yes, the sequel to my well-known favorite game of all time. I was kind of disappointed of the very notable difference in art on the cover (I still haven’t tried the game since I’m still in the middle of playing the original game again and I want to finish it first) and of the fact that Kratos seems to be missing (*sob*).
Saturday, November 28/Sunday, November 29
It was either the 28th or the 29th, but just a little longer than a week after I came home with Dragon Age: Origins I finished the game with a play time of almost fifty hours. I later that day continued where I had left of in Assassin’s Creed II on the 19th (I had played a little longer than seven hours that day). A few days later – a few days ago – I finished Assassin’s Creed II as well with a play time of barely thirty hours. It felt short but I guess that’s because even thought I did most side-quests I came about, I did almost none of the beat-up events, races, assassination requests or mail deliveries. The ending was really cool but I am not going to spoil it for you. One point of advice though which I did not do completely before playing ACII: play through the first game!
A few days ago…
…I got my old laptop from my mom’s place. The computer had barely been used since I had it in for repair for quite some time ago and is still running Vista. I was going to install Windows 7 Ultimate but the disc I got only allowed for installation and activation on one computer and I’ve already used that one installation/activation on a computer that is still in use (well, not right now since I’m at my dad’s, but when I return again I’ll be using it). Up until yesterday I’ve just used the laptop for catching up with the anime I’m watching.
That’s probably it, because today was today and still is and as you can see, I’m currently writing this. Next up: some news! Hmm, I wonder if I forgot anything…
Google Wave
Oh, that’s right! I just remembered! A few days ago I finally got my Google Wave invitation – no, actually I got it while I had no access to internet but I couldn’t possibly know about that – so I joined the beta, or “preview” as Google calls it, and… well, it can’t do very much yet but I see great potential between every wave! Now here’s what’s to interest you: I’ve got eight invitations to send out to whomever I choose. Will it be you? Or you? Maybe I’ll make some sort of mini contest later. For now, though, I think I shall keep my extra invitations to myself.
Now that has got to be everything of interest that has happened this November! I mean I got some more manga a few days ago, but as I said, “that’s everything of interest that has happened this November.” Now I think it’s time for me to go to sleep (I will post this tomorrow, though) so I’ll see you guys tomorrow!
